Kate + 8 WON'T be cancelled

So for those who were roused by the recent news that Kate + 8 may be cancelled, here's an article from the examiner to put those rumors to rest. Who started all this? Perez Hilton!

Earlier Thursday, a bizarre rumor started circulating across the web that Kate Gosselin was going to lose "Kate Plus 8" due to her ex-husband Jon's decision to not sign off on children being filmed anymore. However, fans of the reality TV mom can breathe a sigh of relief -- that's not happening.

Gossip Cop spoke to a representative from TLC, who claimed that the rumor was "not true" and that Kate will continue on with her famous eight children on the show for now.

So what brought this up? Jon had previously tried to keep his kids off the cameras, but ultimately signed off on the filming in order to reach a settlement with the network in his breach of contract lawsuit. Considering how he has managed to be fairly successful in recent months at living a private life, it would seem strange that he would try to enter a legal mess all over again by making demands.

We will probably see less of the Gosselin kids this fall, though, as they are now back in school. On the other hand, Kate will be shooting her "Twist of Kate" program in the near future.

Plastic Surgery Claims

Kate Gosselin appears on the cover of the current People magazine donning a skimpy white bikini and inside talks about the "truth about [her] new body." Namely, that besides her well-publicized tummy tuck in 2006, the rest of her is au naturel.

Several plastic surgeons, however, seem to have their doubts.

The Orange County Register compiled remarks from several doctors who reviewed Kate's claims, from her statement that her breasts are all hers, and that she uses Ole-Henriksen Ultimate Life Eye Gel instead of botox. She said the thought of her keeping plastic surgery a secret was ridiculous:

"Can you imagine if I even tried to go somewhere and have plastic surgery? I'd never get away with it; every minute of my life is photographed. If I'm going to have liposuction, I'm going to have to learn to do it myself."

Plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia thinks otherwise, saying that Kate is "no stranger to plastic surgery."

Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Stuart Linder agreed with that assessment, saying, "It is very rare for someone to get a tummy tuck and not get a breast augmentation."

Fans of Jon and Kate Plus 8 will remember the infamous free tummy tuck episode, when Kate did try to hit up the plastic surgeon for a breast lift while he was at it. The doctor politely turned her down -- on camera, at least.

Dr. Jennifer Walden, a plastic surgeon in New York, was quoted as saying:

"Looking at recent photos of her in a bikini, she may have had liposuction on her thighs as well. In addition, her chin is much more well-defined in recent photos which could be the result of submental liposuction and a chin implant."

Kate spent four days {Sep 11th-14th}in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The mother of eight left her children at home with Jon, while she jetted off with bodyguard Steve Neild. While in Mexico Kate was in a photoshoot for the cover of People magazine, and spent the rest of her time tanning and reading.

"It Doesn't Feel Like Home..."

According to Kate Gosselin, the eight famous Gosselin children don't like going to their father Jon's house.

MSN reports that Kate Gosselin recently explained while a guest on "Live with Regis and Kelly" that Jon's residence, "is not [their] home; it doesn't feel like home to them ... they want to be at home, in their house" in Wernersville, Pennsylvania.

Kate continued, saying that "I basically wait for the phone call from how many of them want to come home."

While this doesn't need to reflect badly on Jon Gosselin, it does make one wonder what kind of parenting he's doing with the eight Gosselin children are in his care. In recent months Jon has been portrayed by the media as a careless womanizer who is far more interested in his public image than in his children. Is this the truth?

Kate Gosselin has acknowledged, however, that the new custody agreement has only been in effect for about three months, and so everyone is still getting a feel for what life is like with the children spending time in Jon's home.

Jon Replies on Twitter (Where Else?)

The public will likely never know what goes on behind the Gosselin's closed doors. However, Kate's comments on Regis and Kelly did spawn a war of sorts between the two Gosselin parents.

Jon replied to Kate's claims on Twitter, saying the following.

"As much as I want to respond to numerous LIES recently claimed on Regis and Kelly, I will refrain. I have learned from the past that it's a waste of my time and energy. I am 'rising above', and refuse to engage in any sort of public argument that could potentially harm or upset my children. My children and the people in my life know the truth, and that is what's important."
