Today, July 31st Kate settled back into her life in Reading, PA. She let Jon have the kids for the weekend, and then headed to the spa for three hours, for a manicure, pedicure and to top up her tan. She also bought a few groceries for the weekend.

Welcome home!
Kate arrived home with her 8, yesterday July 30th from Los Angeles. They spent the last few days in San Diego, according to a private source. On the trip was TLC crew, two bodyguards (paid for by TLC), and Ashley (Kate's babysitter from Liberty University). Welcome home Gosselings!

So, for those of you who have seen the latest IN TOUCH magazine article called 'Kate's Sneaky Move', you will have seen this image. YOU CAN SEE THE ARTICLE FREE HERE.
The article was very "blah" but I enjoyed the comparison of Kate Gosselin and Sarah Palin (pictured above), they both write books. Kate has written three books thus far, and you can win her latest book, I Just Want You To Know HERE. I have also accepted comments on why you would like the book sent to gosselindiary@live.com
Secondly they emphasized that both Sarah and Kate like to run, in a recent post 'Early Thursday Run' we show Kate running near her hometown.
Lastly they compared their brood, Sarah has five children, whereas Kate has eight, that could lead to some long conversations between the two of them (all together 13 children).

Former "Jon and Kate Plus 8" star Kate Gosselin is now back from Alaska with her eight children, but we really still don't have much of an idea as to what exactly happened up in our northernmost state.
Kate was spotted landing in Los Angeles after spending a good period of time in Alaksa filming a new "Kate Plus 8" special. However, the is still one burning question -- did she actually go camping with Sarah Palin? A number of reports suggested that something was in the works, but no one has published any photos of the trip online. TLC has yet to even confirm that the camping trip even actually happened.

Superwoman Carla and her blog
If you've ever come across Carla's blog you will enlightened by the Turner family. They are wholesome and enjoy every moment they can together, a really close knit family.

Carla has been married for 22 years to Mark. Her eldest daughter Ashley (followed by 4 sons) attends Liberty University and is also one of Kate's trusted babysitters, and for a good reason, they rarely talk or discuss 'Gosselin news' and thus have kept out of the overwhelming limelight that is currently following Kate.
Carla and Aunt Jodi are still friends to this day (hence Aunt Jodi does know about what happens in Kate's world).
Carla home schools and has been a babysitter while raising her family, despite a busy day of errands she still finds time to help others, her daughter Ashley calls her "superwoman" and rightly so. In Kate's book, I Just Want You To Know she tells about a particular time Carla helped her to clean up the sextuplets bedroom in chapter 10 called "Blood, Band-Aids, and Baths in the kitchen sink. Pages 126-127 for those of you who have the book show the "nursery destruction" as Kate calls it.

In recent Gosselin news today, July 27th. Perez Hilton discusses how Kate wasn't invited to the DWTS reunion.
An insider said: "An insider explains:
"Of course she was not invited! We all became close during and after the show except Kate who hasn't returned any one's calls or emails. You know it's bad when even creepy bachelor, Jake Pavelka, gets invited but she doesn't. Kate has not spoken with anyone on the show since the day she left. Even her dance partner, Tony, who spent hours and hours alone with her hasn't heard a word from her."

However, I'm wondering if this is because of her busy filming schedule, she probably was invited and declined to fly to Los Angeles, as she's now filming 3 days a week with her children, as well as working on all the production meetings, interviews, scheduling and show 'Twist of Kate'. Can you blame her?

Many natives in Alaska do this for food, however there is more humane ways to do so, when shot from afar it can take as many as NINE GRUELLING shots to kill the animal, and that in itself is inhumane.

Kate + 8 camping with SARAH PALIN?

Kate Gosselin is in Alaska with her eight children and will go camping with former Alaska governor Sarah Palin. Wow, politics -- and reality tv -- certainly do make strange bed (or in this case, tent) fellows!
"Sarah, Kate and the kids will go camping," a source told InTouch, adding that Palin's father, a retired science teacher, and brother, a third-grade instructor, will provide a natural history lesson for Gosselin's 9-year-old twins Mady and Cara, and 6-year-old sextuplets Aaden, Joel, Collin, Leah, Hannah and Alexis.
Palin, who's the mother of five (and grandmother to daughter Bristol's son, Tripp), is looking forward to meeting Kate. "She's excited because it will be fun and educational for the children," says the source. "Sarah will even teach Kate how to avoid bears!"
On July 20, the Gosselins visited the Alaska Zoo, where they checked out a petting zoo, a polar bear exhibit and observed a wolf pack.
SARAH AND KATE ARE BOTH AVID RUNNERS
While the rendez-vous may sound bizarre, Palin, 46, and Gosselin, 35, have more in common than people may realize. First, both are hot mamas with large families. Second, both women are fitness fanatics who run to stay fit.
"Running is my sanity," Sarah has said. Palin routinely ran 7 to 10 miles almost every day but switched to aerobics classes when she became pregnant with her fifth child, Trig (who was born in 2008). After his birth, Palin worked her way back up to running three miles every other day.
Kate, who's now skinner than ever, credits running for keeping her mentally and physically sharp. "I run to get away," she says. "I enjoy the pain and accomplishment of running five miles up and down hills each day."
PALIN'S REALITY SHOW TO AIR ON TLC THIS SUMMER
Another huge commonality between Sarah and Kate is that both are reality tv stars. Sarah is launching her own reality show on TLC (the same channel that airs Kate's shows, Kate Plus 8 and Twist of Kate).
Palin will reportedly earn over $1 million per episode for the eight-part series exploring the natural beauty of Alaska. It will be produced by Mark Burnett (who created Survivor and Celebrity Apprentice). Her program, Sarah Palin's Alaska, is expected to air later this summer.

On Wednesday July 21st, Kate and her children were finally found! After disappearing from the media for over a week she was spotted in Anchorage, Alaska filming with her children (over 4,500 miles from home).

A little TLC: 'Me' time
We all need a little TLC! Kate is now home from her trip to New York last week. She also appeared on Access Hollywood to address rumors before heading home. Last night's episode of Kate + 8 will be posted with videos shortly.
Today, July 12th Kate was spotted having some 'me' time. She stopped by Dunkin Donuts for coffee, a manicure and pedicure, and a rumored tan.

Ellis Islands and Statue of Liberty
On July 8th, Kate and her eight along with Steve, Jaime and entourage went to New York's Ellis Islands and Statue of Liberty. Many are commenting on how Kate, of all people walked barefoot on a sidewalk which even New Yorker's wouldn't walk barefoot on and her hair. Yesterday, July 7th was a busy day for the family, at first I thought they were going on an outing, turns out it was so they could be filmed. They spent the afternoon filming for their reality show Kate + 8.
Looks like the weather was overbearing, and Kate wore her favourite halter top.

Kate takes to the Station....Train, not Police!
Headed to the train station today July 7th was Momma G, her friend Jaime, Steve and her + 8. On route to film for upcoming Kate + 8 specials.
I'm not so sure why a mom of 8 would choose heels like that to walk around a train station...Ouch!

Jon and Kate argue...some things never change
Jon and Kate are just not meant to be...On July 2nd the same day as 'Trees and Whole Foods' they bumped into each other as Kate was leaving and Jon was arriving to collect the children for the weekend. They last saw each in May, during the sextuplets '6th' birthday.
However, they argued about the van, and by the looks of it Jon (as he always did) ignores Kate's comments, and Kate frowns in anguish...how many other broken families manage to avoid each other? There is one nanny who lives at the house full-time, and she is like the second mother who takes care of things as Kate comes and go's. Not many other single mom's get to leave her children at home to rush off to Whole Foods...But on this occasion both Jon and Kate were at the same place at the same time.

Poor Kate caught running in a bikini
I feel bad for Momma G, she had paparazzi invading her July 4th BBQ, and their shots were of her in a skimpy bikini. Read the report from US magazine:
For the Fourth of July, mother-of-eight Kate Gosselin entertained bodyguard Steve Neild and his family at her $1.1 million home in Wernersville, Pa.
At the pool party/picnic, she mostly hid from photographers. However, the reality star, 35 - who last week denied having any plastic surgery except for a tummy tuck - was snapped briefly prancing around in a skimpy bikini.
"Steve brought his two sons and one of their girlfriends, and they all pitched in, playing with the kids and helping with the cookout," a witness tells UsMagazine.com. "They grilled on the back patio behind the house and made a bonfire in the back horse paddock where they roasted marshmallows and hot dogs. The kids were running around laughing and having fun, playing hide-and-seek."
Meanwhile, her ex Jon celebrated the holiday with his new squeeze Ellen Ross.
They enjoyed breakfast at the Wyomissing Family Restaurant in Wyomissing, Pa., before joining some family members at a Fourth of July parade.
Says a source, "They sat along the street, shared snacks and waved to the passing floats and kids throwing candy. Ellen seemed bored and they both spent a lot of time texting and talking on their phones."
After the parade, they went to Jon's pool and laid in the sun for a few hours before packing up and driving back to Harrisburg to Ross' apartment.
Alone for the July 4th weekend?
July 4th weekend used to be the Gosselin's favorite holiday, so I'm sure this year Kate was unhappy that she'd be alone. The kids are with Jon this weekend. Maybe she will celebrate when they get home, so what's a girl to do on a day off? SHOP!
